Centro de Estudios Estratégicos para el Desarrollo of the Universidad de Guadalajara, is an interdisciplinary space for the construction, and dissemination of knowledge, whose activities such as research, and proposals, contribute to public debate and the search for effective solutions to various local and national challenges, with an ethical and scientific perspective.
Our work is carried out within a framework of relevance, inclusion, and creativity, with innovative, and comprehensive proposals congruent with social evolution. It holds a high commitment by proactively participating in different areas of economic, political, environmental and cultural development, as well as in metropolitan issues and public policies.
To identify, analyze, and discuss, in a systematic and permanent way, the problems and processes of the local, national and global environment that affect the possibilities of development; as well as to guide in the formulation, implementation, evaluation and dissemination of innovative strategies that influence the decision-making and initiatives of the diverse social actors in the country.
To contribute to decision-making among different social actors, under a clear understanding of the current context of the state and the country to enhance their development. At CEED, we stand out among academic organizations for our processes of research, management, analysis and outlining of strategies to respond with relevance to current events and to propose possible future scenarios.
To analyze the social, economic, political, environmental and cultural reality at the local, national and international levels.
To identify those factors that are strategic to promote its development.

To offer consulting services to the public, private and social sectors.
To create academic and informative inputs that are useful in the decision-making process of diverse agents and social sectors, toward the construction of a public agenda for local and national development.
